JL Wrangler Rubicon Fender Gaps Filling Up with Rocks

The pictures might be deceiving, but it looks as though you do not have Rubicon High Top Fender Flares. I don't know, the spacing looks right... but it doesn't look like you have the notch on the front flare for the hood latch as shown below:

I have seen mismatched flares where they put standard flares on one side and high-top flares on the other, but I have not seen a full set of four standard flares on a Rubicon.

Well now you have as mine came all Standard flares all around [emoji23] Mines is also without the AUX switch which I have just ordered and the part has arrived. But the dealer wants 2 days to install the part [emoji33]

Wait, I just noticed that you have Dubai listed under your avatar. Overseas Rubicons come with standard fender flares. See pictures below...

Seems to me that you might have been sold a Sport or Sahara with Rubicon decals.

Definitely a Rubicon,

I think it a region spec, as we get the Europe versions over here in the Middle East.

Example on my JK I can't order the rear tail lights for a US version as they won't work.

Ah, yes, that would explain a LOT. Sorry for missing where you are from. Outside of the U.S., Rubicon model JL's are more of an upgraded Sahara. That would explain your fenders.

Well at least I got all the Rubicon additions except for the fenders and cold weather package, which I won't need here as it's hot enough [emoji23] the only thing I don't have that the US version has are the:

fenders,
KO2s
AUX switch,
Sirus XM and Jeep wave program.

Now saying that, the dealer ordered the Rubicon without the AUX switch so I have to order as a mopar Accessory. But I'm wondering now if I should wait for the Spod?

Get the Mopar Aux switches. If nothing else, it'll have a factory finish. If you really want something aftermarket, look into the SwitchPros as it is a much better product and run by stand up people. I caught Spod trying to pimp undercover on my other forum - basically, signed up with multiple accounts pretending to be a regular users and having conversations with himself to help promote his products. I wouldn't touch his stuff just because of his lack of integrity.

I believe you also have Off-Road Pages running on the Uconnect.

After about the fifth time of pushing on the fender and taking out rocks, I decided to figure out what I could do that would look good and would not allow rocks to wedge in between the fender in the body. So today I bought some white rope and wedged it in between that gap without pushing the fender out further than it needs to be then I will spray plastic dip/ flex dip just in the area where the white rope and no more rocks. This Is a perfect and no one will ever know. FCA can hire me for problem solutions!

Have you finished the install? Curious to see how it turned out.
