New steering box with Synergy Sector Shaft Brace installed. It drives good without it, but with lift and 37’s I feel the extra support can’t hurt. View attachment 16205View attachment 16205

It is not 44 ft lbs... It is 44ft lbs PLUS 135deg. Torque/turn. So you go to 44. Then you rotate bolt another 135degI went to the dealership today to have my radio looked at and I asked them again on the torque specs on the gear box. Both times I was told 44 ft lbs

That’s scary that they only torqued them to 44 pounds. That could have caused a serious issue down the road. It’s really good that you checked them. Most people won’t check them though.
I know mine were torqued to at least 90 after the new box was installed because I checked them before removing them to reinstall my sector shaft brace. I even do my own oil changes for the same reason. I always worry things won’t be done correctly.
