Brightening Up The Inside

I wasn't really happy with the grey/silver dash inserts, especially since I initially test drove a Rubicon. I really liked the red ones that it had but they were not available on a sport.
I found a Mopar parts outlet website about a week and a half ago that was selling the red ones as a pair with about a $120.00 discount and free shipping.
They came today packaged nicely and in perfect condition. Should look good and will add a dash of color to the interior.

Sweet!! At that price, I could totally see getting a set and having them painted body color.

Bit of a pain...

Took about an hour. The driver side couldn't have been easier. Passenger side sucked.
You have to remove the air bag part way to pry open tabs on the top and bottom. I couldn't see how to take it apart until I cracked the old one from pulling on it.
Looking at the new one I didn't guess there was more to it than a few bolts and some tabs with snap clips. You do reuse your old vents but those are really easy to swap in.
More complicated than it looked to get it done, but worth all the trouble. I think it looks great, much better look IMO. At least for my Jeep.

That looks really good! I see a lot of people who don’t like the red but I think it’s perfect! I also really like the black vent surrounds too.

The LOD sliders came today. Packaged very nicely and in perfect condition. Super easy install, less than an hour.

There are still 3 holes I need to drill, but these things are very solid as is. For street use, you don't even need the extra holes. It will easily hold the weight of a big boy.

Other than the extra holes it's an easy bolt on and they are a bit different than the JK ones install wise.

I would highly recommend to anyone and definitely do the powdercoat if you want it in black. It looks really good and no one else is going to be able to do it for only $20 extra dollars.

Man the jeeps coming a long great. [emoji1303] does the mopar lift still feel like stock with the bigger tires? I’ve considered the mopar lift for warranty aspects. But thinking evo.

Warranty is not a big deal really. Suspension manufacturers will warranty their own stuff and Jeep can't dismiss your factory warranty except for parts that aren't theirs or things they can prove your add ons broke.
The tires gave it a bit more bounce but I haven't aired down yet. Right now I'm at about 37 psi each. I'll probably drop to about 28 and chalk them to see if it needs more or less air.

They are a supporting vendor and good people. I ordered mine right from them and spoke with them before hand to see if they were in stock. They had literally just come out when I asked about them, but knowing the reputation, I knew they'd be sweet. I was not disappointed at all.

You have way more things you will void with bigger tires than from a lift. I wouldnt worry about it too much. About the only factory parts u can stress if installed correctly with the lift that lift manufacturer wouldnt cover are driveshafts and sway bar links.

They can dismiss anything they want. Have you not seen the thread on Wayalife about the Mopar air intake that was installed at a dealer, let dirt in and toasted an engine and the warranty claim was not accepted because of the aftermarket parts? Look it up.

When it comes to your warranty, the single best thing you can do is develop a business relationship with your dealership. AS IN, get regular oil changes from them. It's cheap and you'll become a customer - not just someone looking for them to cover a break. As a customer, your dealership will do a lot more and try harder to help you out.

No doubt sound advice for most relationships in life. You can't take anything out of the bank unless you're willing to put something in.

Like I said, if they can prove your part caused the issue. Otherwise, not usually an issue.
But then, I am white and privileged so I never get a warranty denied.

Flares

I managed to snag a box of these really hard to get (at least at the moment) paintable Rubicon flare set.
Turns out there are a ton on backorder just about everywhere and out of stock for another month or so, I was told. This was the last set out here and they were in Los Angles.
With the Mopar discount, they were about $625 with tax and the dealer got them to me overnight with free shipping. I was pretty stoked.
I really thought it was going to be into late October before I saw these.
I still have to get them painted obviously but I have them. Therefore, install will be a bit down the road.
There was surprisingly more to it than I figured on. I really didn't expect all 4 liners to come with it and wondered how that part was going to work out.
Really good instructions as well.
I can say that although some people are advertising these as having the LED's, they do not. So if anyone is looking, be aware.
