JL Rubicon Transfer Case Part Number

Hi Eddie and everyone on this board,

After replacing our JLU Sport axles with Rubicon axles, now we are thinking of swapping to Rubicon transfer case as well. A couple of questions:
1) Does anyone know the part number for a JL Rubicon transfer case, Rock Trac I assume? My JLU has an auto transmission, 3.6L engine.
2) When I searched car-part.com, I notice there are 3 brands of t-cases. Any differences among the 3?
3) Also car-part.com shows full time t-case versus part time t-case. What is the difference? Does stock JLUR have full time or part time t-case?
4) After replacing the t-case, anything else needs to be changed, e.g. driveshaft? Currently I have Adams front, JLU stock rear driveshafts.

Please advise. Thanks!

Pretty sure the Rubicon uses a New Venture NV241OR

Not sure what your seeing, sometimes Auto and Manual trans have different size & spline output shaft which could change part number. The different brands are probably different companies that rebuild the TC's, not actually different transfer cases.

JLUR has part time except the 392 Hemi which has full time. Part time = 2WD until you pull the TC lever into 4WD or 4 Low. Full time is always in 4wd and only options are 4wd or 4 low

4) After replacing the t-case, anything else needs to be changed, e.g. driveshaft? Currently I have Adams front, JLU stock rear driveshafts.
Not sure about shafts or flanges but you will definitely need a JL Taser or similar computer upgrade to change the 4 low ratio in the jeeps computer. If you don't it may go into limp mode after you use low range. Not totally sure but it may also shift harsher while in low range if not reprogramed.

If I were going to do a TC swap I would shop wrecking yards for a rolled or totaled JL Rubicon to get a TC out of.

what year is your JLU?

Mp3022 Transfer Case - Mopar (68240450AC)

2019 JLU.

A dealer helped me find a slightly different part number:
  • MP1622C. 4:1 Rock-Trac HD Part Time 4WD System. Part# 68240441AC.
Part# 68240445AC is for Command-Trac Part Time 4WD System, isn't it?
