Jack the JL - 2018 Punk'n Orange JLUR

Hello all,

Thought I would start a build thread of sorts on our 2018 Punk'n Orange JLUR that we call Jack. My wife and I ordered it from the dealership in early June of 2018 and took delivery in mid-July of 2018. After having a 2006 TJ Rubicon since 2010 and driving/modifying it ever since, I was looking to trade it in on a new JL. After talking with the wife she didn't want to get rid of the TJ (needless to say I still drive it) and now she daily drives our JLU. Within 12 hours of picking it up from the dealership we began modifying it with a 2.5" Rock Krawler X-Factor lift and 37x12.50x17 Cooper STT Pros mounted on some Method 105 beadlocks and the rest is history. Our most recent modifications include Synergy MFG steering (tie rod/drag link) and Ranch front diff skid. Eventually we are looking to build up to 40s on a set of Dynatrac XD60s, but for now we love our JL!

And finally the current state of Jack after the day after the bomb cyclone here in Colorado:

If you want to see the build further, we will continue to update our build thread here. We have our Bartact seat covers on order and our Spiderweb Shade to install before Moab for EJS. Hope to see you there!

Welcome to JLWRANGLER. If it's all the same to you, it'd be nice if you could just continue posting up here rather than directing people to your IG page. Thanks!

Apologies for not posting in awhile, we have been hard at work getting the Jeep ready for EJS. So far we have added the Evo front and rear bolt on coil overs with the King 2.0 air bumps up front. We had a local shop weld on the Evo truss and gusset kit. We also finally got around to installing our Bartact seat covers front and rear. We still have to install some RCV shafts and Adam’s drive shafts front and rear. Lastly, after a long wait we received our fender lights from American Adventure Labs to convert the stock fenders to flat fenders!

Nice it's looking beastly. I never really liked that color at first but my son loves it and it's been growing on me and with the black slider on yours I'm really digging it.

Thanks! Honestly I have to thank the wife for choosing the color, I originally wanted Mojito or Hellayella but the Punk'n has grown on me. It meshes well with black and it really pops in pictures.
