Tire question

I might buy a set of the 285/70/17 BFGs that come on the JL rubicon. I have a JLU SportS without a lift, would the 285/70/17 fit on the stock rims and fit without a lift?

Thanks for the help in advance.

You should be able to get them mounted on your factory wheels without any issues but I'm not sure about how well they'll clear at full flex. Might need a small lift... might not.

I measured to see if they would fit at ride height but I figured it would be a little tight at full flex. I just wanted to get advice on if they would scrub or not when turning or full flex

I like to use the tire compare calculator here:
https://tiresize.com/calculator/

Here’s the sport vs rubicon tires based on the dimensions from the Jeep website. Looks like you may need wheel spacers. Don’t forget your speedo & MPG will be off too until we get an updated procal.

That site is awesome for tire size comparisons!

It's not just a Jeep, it's an amusement park on wheels.
