Clicking noise? Could be the shift interlock releasing. When you press the brake pedal, that is what allows the shifter to move (safety feature so your foot is on the brake). But how loud is it? I have a JT and a JL and honestly I haven't even noticed it either, so yours may be excessively loud :idontknow:

Next time I drive, I'll give mine a listen too.

Just checked our JL. It makes the clicking noise. Likely normal. Nearly every automatic vehicle has something like that.
