Jeep factory tire carrier question.

I'm putting a 35x12.5 r17 bfg ko2 tires and new icon wheels on my jeep. Do you think the stock carrier can handle the weight (I calculated about 90-100 lbs for wheel and tire), or should I upgrade the carrier as well? I already have an mopar reinforcement bracket.

You should be fine with that set up for a 35.

As mentioned, you’ll be fine. Just make sure your tire is snug against your bump stops.

I got some of the extended bump stops you cut to size but if that fails I have some spare hose laying around.

no problem. I have had my 35" cooper sst pro on there for 3 years now no problem. Just use extend bump stops so tire does not move.

I've had 37" on mine for two years. I would recommend Eddy's Stinger if your going to off road the Jeep

Already got one. Bought it when I was supposed to go across country and go to moab but that trip fell thru.
