I have a JL Sport and I just set it up with front quick disconnecting sway bar end-links. In the end-link instructions, it mentions securing the sway bar in the horizontal position to prevent "serious tire damage". I see talk of using bungee cords, zip ties or ratchet straps to secure the sway bar, but looking at the JL, I see no easy way to secure it in a horizontal angle, at best I can secure it at close to a 45 degree angle. Maybe I'm looking to far into this, but when I see words like "serious tire damage", it starts to get me worried.
I can't find much of any information regarding a good way to secure a JL sway bar after it's been disconnected. Am I just being paranoid that I can't get the sway bar secured at a perfectly horizontal angle? Do all I really need to worry about is just making sure the sway bar isn't flailing around all over the place? It would awesome to see some of the ways you guys/gals secure your sway bars when you're on the trail.
