I really hope there is way to disable auto park on the JL. My wife's GC ecodiesel avoided the flash that added it for a while but they finally flashed it (against my orders) while it was at the dealer for service. Be aware that if your door isn't shut well, it will sometimes let you get to moving before going into park automatically. Several times we've pulled out and started to drive off from the house when the Jeep suddenly goes into park at 20-25mph. It is not a pleasant experience...

So the dome light being on or the door ajar indicator on the large 7” cluster wasn’t warning enough? And even if you ignored both of those you also had your seatbelt off?
You cannot disable it.
