Clutch pedal lower activation

2018 JL (V6/6-speed/5k miles) - Clutch pedal now has about 2 inches of free play during engagement before there is any resistance in the pedal. Ideas?

You mean you release the clutch pedal up 2" before it begins to engage the transmission?

He probably means it has 2” before it engages when he presses it in.

OK another way, As I press the clutch pedal down toward firewall it has "free plays" with no effort for about 2 inches before there is resistance in the pedal. It's going to the dealership this morning.

Fixed

Got JLUS back from dealership. The detent clip fell out of slave cylinder. Fix was to reinstalled detent clip within slave cylinder.
