Dogs and Jeeps

I’ve got two dogs that in the past have been fine in my TJ when the top was off because the tub surrounded the back seat. Now with more room and exposed second row, I’m pretty sure my one year old will try to jump out at a stop sign/light. I’m not interested in putting netting around. Does anyone have any ideas of securing the dogs to the interior? I was just thinking about running a cord between the C pillar with stoppers. Thanks.

Guess it depends on how big your dog is. If it can sit on the rear seat, you can use a harness and then secure it to the seat belt.

I’ve got two female huskies. But ya, didn’t even think of the car seat anchors. And they’re used to wearing harnesses, so that works. Way overthinking it, but that should work. Thanks.

I would harness them in. I don’t with the full doors and the windows down but with the half doors I do now. I didn’t this weekend and she jumped out. Luckily I was stopped and she just wanted to say hi to people but could have been worse.
