A friend and I did it to his Jl sport. Easy install, took about a hour or little longer. The only downside is you loose your volume knob but you can still use the steering wheel controls to change channel.

Did it sound quality remain the same? Is it true the steering wheel volume control is the only way to adjust the volume? Was it well made? Its a little steep at over $1450.

Yep the steering wheel is the only way to adjust the volume,or you would have to get new ac control panel that have the volume know built into it. And he replaced his factory speakers at the same time we did the radio so I canít say. And itís same at the factory,Iím assuming itís well made. And $1450 isnít that bad considering what you get. Apple car play, blue tooth, nav, backup camera. And it looks like it belongs in a Jeep. Iím sure some aftermarket companies will have something soon but no telling the price or what it will look like..
