Can the bump shift direction be modified to down/down and up/up?

My JL’s 8 speed auto bump down shifts by pushing the lever up, not down, this is sometimes confusing in that my Volvo with a similar trans will down shift with a down bump on the lever and up shift with a up bump which makes more sense to me to down shift with a down bump and up shift with a up bump. Is there a way to reverse the JL bump direction to make more sense for me?
