Anyone out there running this set up with or without spacers or have an idea if itll work? Not sure I want to invest in new wheels at this time. Will put Rancho 2" on there soon but may run around town with no lift for a bit

I will be able to answer that exact question in a few day. I have the rubicon wheels and I’ll be doing the 37x12.5x17 and a 2.5” rock krawler lift. I went ahead and ordered spacers just Incase... I’ll report back soon.

I did the same thing. 37-13.50 Toyos on factory Rubicon wheels, with 1-5/8" Synergy spacers. It works fine. Maybe not the ideal thing, but it works and looks decent.

Sounds good, ya I think it'll be too tight without spacers

When I installed my 2.5 inch rock krawler lift, the stock wheels and tires rubbed like crazy in the rear. The part of contact was the sway bar link in the rear. Since I didn’t have my 37’s yet and needed to drive the Jeep, I moved the link from the outside location to inside if the sway bar.

Since installing my 37’s on 4.5 inch backspaced wheels, I have relocated the link to the outside but now I get rubbing at full turn on the front Control arms.

I could imaging that you’ll get the same rubbing.

Me too, I have the mostly black ones. Going to make it work for awhile, can't see buying other wheels than beadlocks, waste of money for me, and those aren't in the budget right now.

Next project is getting them on The tire carrier..

Have you mounted your tires up to the stock wheels yet? I am planning to do the same thing and also have the mostly black wheels. Curious to hear what size spacers work. I have some 1.5” from my JK I’m hoping will work.

I was told that the stock JL wheels can’t mount the 13.5” tires safely.

Are you having any issues? Feel wobbly at speed?

Haven't had any issues so far. One tire leaked down a bit, and when it got about 10 psi lower than the rest it wobbled a little, but after it was aired up it was fine.

I drove it yesterday (rare, as it is the little woman's Jeep) and ran it up to 90 with no problem at all. Cruised at 75-80 and it was solid.

The tire companies won't mount them, as they are outside of "normal" guidelines. I had an independent shop mount them and am not worried.

I once ran 12.50 wide tires on 7" rims for nearly 50,000 miles without any problems.

Chalk your tires and set the pressure to what they need to run level and you will overcome the "problem" the big tire companies tell you about. When I do mine, I set the rear to what the chalk says, and set the front about 2 psi higher to counteract the edge wear from turning.
Just remember, if you do this, then load a ton of stuff in the Jeep, you need to add air to compensate.
