    Trouble with Tazer Lite

    All,

Has anyone else had an issue with their Tazer JL lite? My Tazer had been working flawlessly since I purchased it in November until I updated the firmware successfully and disconnected it from my computer (mac). I then plugged it into my 2018 JLUR and the Jeep does not recognize it. I then tried connecting to the Tazer with the ZPU software app and the unit will not connect. It shows the USB port as a connection path, but it will not connect. I then retried to connect via PC and was not able to connect. So now I have a Tazer that will not connect to my Jeep, Mac nor PC.

I've reached out to ZAutomotive and he has been responsive at first through FB messenger, but my last response from them was Saturday.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks

Did you remember to unmarry the Tazer from your Jeep prior to updating the software?

Yes. I followed all instructions. It was unmarried before making any changes.

I had this happen to me when I updated, I ended up getting with Joe at Zauto and they walked me thru formatting the Tazer and reinstalling the software, itís under the recovery section for Macs
My insurance company asked me if my Jeep was modified and of course I said no...

Is this just a Mac thing or does it involve all computers?

How did you reset it if it won't connect?

If you use the recovery option it should format it back, just follow the instructions for Recovery

Yes. I was able to format it with instructions they sent me. I wish they included those in the manual.
