4:88s, not so popular, but gonna try it

Okay, I suppose it depends on how much highway time you spend and whether or not you care about MPG. A 6-speed has lower gearing to begin with so even with 37's, I think you'd find 4.88 to be a good match for them especially being that it may take a bit to get there. 5.13's will give you more power off the line and a better crawl on the rocks but you will burn through gas at highway speeds.


Awesome thanks that’s what I am debating right now, likely I’ll go with 4.88 due to the fact that I will regear before I get new tires and I’m not sure if I will go to 37’s next tire change plus I don’t want piss off the wife with 4K worth of Jeep expenses at once 😂 and the bigger pinion. Also, I do quite a bit of Hwy driving every week about 150 miles so gas is a concern even if there is a bit of stop and go.
