Anyone else think that the coolant fan is ridiculously loud when the A/C is turned on hi? Why is it so loud?

It’s loud because it’s on. While it is annoying, I would rather have a loud fan than an overheating motor.

I like how the engineer in the video said that the purpose of the fan was for cooling. No kidding. Still doesn’t explain the decibel level.

Haha! I saw one theory about the shape of the fan blade causing the extra noise. The fan blades on the 2.0L have a different shape and are not as noisy...allegedly.
