Must have add on’s

Guess it all depends on what you're wanting to do with your Jeep. Do you plan on wheeling it and looking for add ons for it or are you just asking in general for doodads?

Both. I know I’m doing bumpers, winch, but I’ve never had a Jeep so.

Being that you're buying a Rubicon, You're at the top of the food chain as far as Wranglers go. You'll be set with lockers and the electronic sway bar quick disco's. You're getting a winch & bumpers so you should be good to go with those.
Man, you really don't "need" anything else. I'd wheel that thing & get a taste for what you like/want to do & take it from there. I'd also hold off buying anything until you see what is coming in the pipeline as far as parts go. Eddie's coverage
over on Wayalife of the SEMA show in Ca (not sure if he'll post there and here too?)is second to none - that's a great place to see what the manufacturers are coming out with. I'd be willing to bet it'll be a pretty good show for JL's this year.

PS: LOL, I chastised my buddy who was POSITIVE 19's couldn't be ordered til November. He found out later he was wrong but didn't want to tell me :rolleyes2:

If you’re looking to spend $ on your new Wrangler, without just emptying every pocket, here are some easy ideas

1. Eddy’s “JL Wrangler” sticker, the white medium sized one, looks super sharp along the driver’s side rear window. https://www.wayalife.com/store/proddetail.php?prod=DECAL-JL-REAR-FENDER

2. Headrest grab handles are super helpful for rear passengers if you lift up from stock in any way. I love these. Look great. Get the red ones. They’re sooo Rubicon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D4B7PJT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_63S5BbD21RYNA

3. A stubby antenna always looks nice. This one has a bottle opener. Ha. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074XLYKZ6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_95S5Bb15091GE

4. Nice keychain which still allows you to seat it in the console between the two cup holders when driving. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B012FQIS1Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_f9S5Bb8VMBT7A

5. Sill guards. These are a little pricey, but they look super sharp installed. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078F9LXRF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_BaT5Bb28Y9RED

6. Change/coins. There’s no good place, but this sits great in the cup holder closest to the center console, and throws into the glove box easily when my wife is along and we both have drinks. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0111RDDWM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_HbT5BbYBGBYES

7. 10 ft lightning cable. Allows you to snake it from inside the center console, leaving the dash ports open for passengers to charge, and keeps a day-to-day cleaner look. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0721456BZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_beT5BbHH5YSQT , and if you want to run the cable along the inner wall of the center console, so it stays out of the way of other stuff in there, get one of these too. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017VDTUZ4/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

8. 67 Designs mount for cell phone - damn nice. https://www.67d.com/

9. Power strip - good for long road trips with multiple passengers. This one is so compact it’s easy to tuck somewhere and pull out when needed. Plugs into the rear seat outlet cleanly and tucks out of the way under the seat, if you just want to leave it there all the time. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072N854DK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_BiT5BbEE00DE1

10. Gen II Rock Sliders. Not cheap though - but I’m constantly getting compliments on them. https://www.quadratec.com/p/rock-slide-engineering/gen-ii-steps-sliders-jeep-wrangler-jl-4-door

So, that’s my contribution. Leans heavily toward road-warrior. Far from must-haves, but all stuff I’ve purchased and love.

Money, lots of money. Things get expensive quick lol. If your going bumpers & winch soon. IMO go LOD front & rear with Warn Zeon winch.

Then do a Stage 1 or 2 Evo lift kit, wheels & tires, maybe rock sliders.

That will keep you busy for years of wheeling & enjoyment.

Great suggestions! Aside from Quadratec and Amazon, what are other websites that are good sources for new gear and add-ons?

Keep an eye on the Supporting Vendors section of the forum. There is always new stuff coming out. https://jlwrangler.com/forumdisplay.php?50-JLWRANGLER-Supporting-VENDORS

The JL is new and I'm sure more and more stuff will keep evolving. Also feel free to start threads about tools and gear that members carry. Just because the JL is new, Jeeps aren't. And much money can be spent on practical survival gear and tools rather than stuff that makes the Jeep look pretty. Before I even had a Jeep, I carried tons of tools and recovery gear in my Ford truck when I left the pavement.
