My first Jeep was a blue 1972 CJ5 inline 6.

I was 15 and put it on lay-a-way at a Tote the note lot.

I'd ride my bicycle by that lot every day and the day I saw it I stopped to looked it over.

The engine had a thick coating of gunk covering it and it had a red shop rag for a valve cover cap.

Started it up and the sales guy took me for the test drive since I didn't have a license yet.

Didn't see any signs of oil burning or other leaks so I went back the next day with my deposit and paid on it weekly (lots of lawn mowing and 15yo type jobs)

Once I got my license i was able to drive it off the lot :thumb:

You never forget your 1st

My first vehicle was a 1947 Willy's Jeep war surplus. I'll never forget it!

My first was a ‘78 Renegade, 304, 3 speed. Wasn’t worth a dang in snow but would sling mud, oh boy
