Now that my handy dandy CB mount is on the way, I'm sure I'm going to talk myself into purchasing a radio real quick. I stumbled on the Uniden Bearcat 880 and their proprietary wireless mic, with the claim it functions up to 300 feet from the base. That sounds like it could be great for keeping clutter down in the interior as well as giving me a means to communicate when outside of my vehicle spotting or scouring ahead.
Does anyone have any experience with this particular radio? How's the quality? Will it outlast the rough ride I'm sure to put it through?
How about the mic? Sound quality? Actual range? Battery life for a full day of wheeling?
