No trip to Tulsa is complete without a trip to Woolaroc; Frank Phillips' old place. Mr. Phillips was the founder of Phillips 66 petroleum. So much to see here. We had such a great time learning about Native American life, the life of trappers and bank robbers.

He was a very avid collector. He built a museum to house his vast gun collection and his collection of paintings and statues. Most of the artwork is "old west" artwork. I really love the large-scale paintings that are 8'x12' or larger.

He also had a very wicked sense of humor too. Great story about Roosevelt and the buffalo hunt.IMG_20180815_171621895_HDR.jpegIMG_20180815_132239084_HDR.jpegIMG_20180815_134154523_HDR.jpegIMG_20180815_152416154.jpegIMG_20180815_185558.jpegIMG_20180815_161449860.jpegIMG_20180815_155708779.jpegIMG_20180815_153202865.jpeg

It was a surprise birthday party for one of the Jeep club members and there were around 25 Jeeps there ranging from stock to extremely modified. A lot of JKs, a couple JLs, a few TJs and a couple YJs. There was even an XJ!

It was a lot of fun. The first obstacle we climbed was "three fingers" leading up to "panty hill." The line we took was the easiest line, maxing out around 40 degrees of loose rock and dirt with about a 1 foot high vertical rock wall half way up between the turns for good measure. It was intimidating for sure but the JLUR in 4WD low made it with no problems.

I love wheeling Disney. Did you go up Little Blue?

I ran it in my TJ in 2007.
