Jeep Wave?

The header for the "Give us a Wave!" forum says, "As some of you may or may not know, it is customary for Jeepers to wave at each other as they pass each other on the road". I'm wondering if that custom is dying out? One my last trip I waved to almost every Jeep I passed (hundreds) but I think the other guy waved back only about 20% of the time.

I still do it but I’m old. Here in So Cal it is hit and miss. In my experience it has been less than 50% out here. Probably less than 50. Jeeps that have been modified generally more responsive but I figure since they spent money to modify they probably know the culture. I don’t care I still do it anyway. Holding on to the past I guess.
