So this made me chuckle...

My wife is often looking for a purse to toss into the Jeep. I happened upon this pretty groovy bag online, and ordered it up to surprise her.

Once unboxed it came in its own nifty little bag.

Looked pretty well built from the outside. Smells like leather and the strap is made from seat belt material with "JEEP" on it.

Popped open the magnetic latches to check it out and found the sales tag tucked inside a pocket.

Pulled the tag out and found that I just may have to keep it for myself. LOL!

Well, you definitely can't have the soft top up with the hardtop on do the support mechanisms necessary. I'm not sure that the hardtop will fit with the soft top fully retracted. Why not just take the soft top off and store it? I can easily get it on and off myself. Slightly more difficult than the JK soft top, but still relatively easy.

Twenty years ago I used to tell people that my Corvette made my wiener look bigger...

I can confirm that my JL has the same effect. Well... sort of...

Thank goodness, sometimes I need all the help I can get. :cheesy:

Saw some beautiful fall colors on the way to Cripple Creek yesterday. Not a whole lot of oranges, but Aspens really make the mountains pop when they turn yellow.

Grandparents lived in CO for a while when I was a kid, I remember vaguely going on a jeep trail somewhere out there in a Jeep Cherokee. Gramma freaking out and Grampa telling her to keep quiet. LOL. I wish I could remember exactly where it was, It would be cool to go back in my own rig. Nice pictures.

In June of 2015 I picked up a NIB Cobra 29 WXNWBT for $65 on Amazon. I fully intended to use it with my JK, but never got around to it. Although it's not a newer Cobra LX and I'll likely never use the Bluetooth functions, I figure it'll work just fine for JL trail use.

For ease of install, I was more than happy to order a WAYALIFE CB BAR.

Unpacked to verify that I did not inadvertently purchase a bogus Chinese knockoff.

Official Wayalife product.

What I received... Looks legit!

Following the Overhead CB Radio Mount Install instructions HERE and the Antenna/Wiring write-up HERE, installation of my Cobra CB (+ accessories) was a snap.

I should note that the Wayalife Overhead CB Bar installed with ease and works as advertised. I also used the following parts/items as recommended in the JL WRANGLER Homemade Tailgate CB Radio Antenna Mount & Wiring WRITE-UP:

Firestik K4R Heavy Duty Stud Mount
Firestik SS-3H Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Antenna Spring
FireStik K-8R18 18 foot Fire-Flex coax cable with Fire-Ring
Firestik (FS-3BK) Black 3' 650W Tunable Tip CB Antenna
48" Inch Copper Ground Strap

I have to admit that I did not fab my own antenna mount, as I had already purchased a mount made for Jeeps with 6-slot grills.

Big thanks to Wayalife, this forum and its members for the products, knowledge and support that help to make projects like this a breeze! :thumb:
