Stoked to finally get some rock rash on our rings! I was so excited that I reached out to touch one, and got bit pretty quickly. Doh! Maybe I'll start training for next season's Saguaro Bear Hugging Competition. 😳

Wanted to check my nitrogen pressures. I was so busy jacking to full droop on all four corners, that I didn't think to take any pictures with it attached. My coilovers were 150 psi at all four corners, and my front bumps were both 70 psi.

Thanks for the write up on how to install this cargo liner, its just too hard to figure out [emoji16].
But 12 bucks.....who cares if its usesless then?! I could have had one for around 100bucks, so I thought its not that useful

Decided to add a little insurance today.

ZomboMeme 19072019214952.jpg

In an effort to protect the front axle drain bolt, I decided to add a RANCHO DIFFERENTIAL GLIDE PLATE (RS62116, DANA 44 - FRONT). Wanting it to blend a bit more seamlessly with my undercarriage, I had less than 90 minutes to paint and install before we left town this morning.

Two light coats, and one wet coat of VHT Roll Bar & Chassis paint (I love this paint, and have been using it for years).

About an hour later, the Rancho Diff Glide took only minutes to install.

LOL - too funny. The skid looks great in black. Like it should have come from the factory :thumb:

Aerosol cans are fun when they are on fire.

Sure, for everyone not hit by anything of it[emoji16].
The skid should have been black, or at least the choice should be given

Thanks. It does look "better" in black, but still reminds me of a diaper.

I had been on the fence about this for some time, but never bit the bullet because it was red. I finally ordered it last week thinking that I may end up on a difficult trail this weekend. I have to give big props to Rancho for coming to market relatively early with a lot of options for JL owners. However, I wonder how many people have shied away from their diff covers, diff glides and control arm skids solely because of the red. Obviously it can be painted, but it would be nice to have the option of black powder coating. It's funny, the powder coating on this glide plate is some of the best that I've ever seen. It's a shame that I had to cover it up. Oh well, maybe it'll l look like it's bleeding when it takes a couple of hits.

It really would, I'm just not convinced I'd like it standing out like that. I guess if I got one and put it on I'd see if i was a fan, worst case take it off and paint it.

Give it a whirl. Install is pretty darn easy, so I'm sure it wouldn't be an issue to take it off and reinstall if you decide to paint.

Spent the night in Boulder yesterday, and found some time to hit Middle Saint Vrain / Coney Flats today. Definitely a fun way to spend a few hours. My daughter was able to get her feet wet for the first time. 😎
