Wind noise

Is anyone having issues with wind noise on their JL? It sounds as if my front passengers window is cracked open. I adjusted the windshield inspected the top and all looks in good alignment. The drives side is perfectly fine no noise at all. Thanks in advance.

Me, I've been driving around with half doors and a Trek Top on my JK's for years so my JL seems to be quite as a luxury car. That being said, there are a few people who've I've talked to who've complained about wind noise with a hard top.

I have noticed the passenger side is louder also. I was going to try the surgical tube inside the weather stripping trick if it's hallow.

We had to take our Jeep to the body shop after our driver door was hit by a deer. It took several rounds with the shop to get the door back to perfect (they said the new aluminum door was a real challenge). When we picked it up the last time, it looked and fit perfect, but it had really bad wind noise coming from what sounded like the upper corner of the windshield or door. I thought it could have even been from the freedom panel. The noise started at around 30 mph and got louder with speed. At 70 I had a hard time hearing my kids talking to me in the back seat. I took it back and they tried adjusting the door to no avail. So, I left the Jeep with them again, and finally yesterday picked it up with everything fixed and perfect. It took three techs 5 hrs to finally figure out what the problem was. It turned out that the black triangular plastic cover next to the mirror was just slightly "popped out". Once they fixed it, it was perfectly quiet again. I would check that plastic cover on your doors. I'm still amazed that this was were all the wind noise came from.

Hello everyone

Have you gotten this looked at by the dealer? There was a STAR case created that relates to what you all are experiencing. The number is S1823000027. If you provide it to your dealer, the case should pull up in their database. Send me a direct message if you have any questions about this or need help during the servicing process.
