    New Recall

There is a new recall releasing this morning. Its not on all but I'd call your local dealer to see if yours is one. I believe its just a flash update so nothing major.

    Anyone have the recall number?

    I believe recall is U6B2.

Picking mine up new Rubicon tomorrow and will be interesting to see if they are even aware of it. According to the NHTSA the mfg recall number is U62 and the NHTSA number is 18V-332. It has to do with the ECM/PCM software. It "does not remove positive torque requests from the engine controller if the CAN-C bus stops communicating while the cruise control is requesting positive torque." The risk is "If the CAN-C bus stops communicating the cruise control may maintain current vehicle speed or possible accelerate. If the driver does not shift into neutral or apply the brakes to stop the vehicle this condition can cause a vehicle crash without warning." Remedy is a possible software refresh. Doesn't say how many vehicles are impacted.

Yes, I un-married it and plugged the 2 SGW connectors back in their ports.

The recall didn't state that specifically but I'm pretty sure that's what it was for.

So the jeep was drive-able even though the tire size was not correct?

Yeah, it'll drive fine. But the speedometer will be incorrect.
