Tailgate Window Up

Greetings everybody. Is there any issue with driving with the tailgate window up/open? I've always had a soft top on our TJ in warm weather so I've never driven with the hard top on & tailgate window up.

Has anybody done this? Other than stress on the hinges and window struts, what issue would there be?


It's not just a Jeep, it's an amusement park on wheels.

You might get exhaust fumes into the Jeep. I wouldn't do it unless I had all the other windows open, too, and even then be especially vigilant about any funny smells. Carbon monoxide can be pretty dangerous.
