Is it Really Any Different? Shot of the JL Wrangler Soft Top

wjtstudios over on WAYALIFE was able to snap a couple of pics of a JL he happened to see on the road and as you can see, it was wearing a soft top that looks a lot like a JK. What do you think? Just a test mule or a sign of things to come?

I'm kind of under the impression that it's needed to help keep the top tight and prevent it from flapping. Years ago, I tried running a safari top that was skin tight and flat and while it looked great, it buzzed pretty bad at highway speeds.

My Trektop flaps at certain speeds I'm guessing because of that as well. Would be cool if there was a way around that though.
