Follow-up: Came back yesterday from towing to Florida and back behind our motor home, and driving while there a good 100 miles or so. No issues with hook-up or detachment, nor with driving. Weird - wish I knew what the noise was... At any rate, love this Jeep!

Thanks - drove it about 15-20 miles yesterday in 2WD with no issues. There's a red clay road near here that I'll try in 4-Hi and see what happens.
