RUBICON steering

parts came in... yes rubicon tie rod and drag link are NOT the same size, as i was told........ so now we all know. but the track bar is the same part for rubicon and the other models...

here's the tie rod end on drivers side.. not much tread left after i eyeballed the alignment, thats why i need the longer Rubicon stuff.

now i have some boat anchors..lol just going to throw these in storage ,,,

got a lot done this weekend, diff cover cleared and installed, shocks installed and the dana 44's installed... just put the order in for 37x12.50 R18 Nitto ridge grapplers also i have the Rubicon front tie rod bar and drag link coming

i installed one with the skid plate but i have not tried it out yet...

put on the MetalCloak axle skid plate,steering stabilizer on it went on easy just had to drill one 3/8 hole per directions ... The Rubicon axle are like 1.5 wider so i had to adjust the tie rod bar for alignment, its good enough to get to the shop . so i ordered Rubicon express lower control...

i painted the axle with Por-15 and tore out the front axle M186 on the jeep. hoping to find time to put the 44 in sometime this week,and then start on the rear .[/ATTACH]

so ya before anyone say's why didn't you buy a Rubicon ? i did not have the funds to do that.. so i bought a Sport and started to build my own .. i hoping to install these over Christmas break, i got the wire harness so i need to order the S-tech switch set up to run the lockers. factory Dana...

can someone please tell me what is the replacement part for the Rubicon front axle u-joint.. i have not broke one yet but you never know, i like to be ready if it happens.. thanks...

so sorry if this has been asked before, but i wanting to buy a set of dana 44 diff covers for JL rubicon dana 44's , is there a difference in the years, old to new.... if so they should of called the new 44's something else,, like 45's or something.. thanks

i would like to re-gear my sport, i am thinking 4:56 i am running 35's dana 30/35 love to up grade up axles but not in my cards. oh its a Auto tranny .. Detroit tru track in front and a Detroit in rear, same set up in my past last 3 jeeps. but i dana 44's in those jeeps.

has anyone been in that park we are heading down from Iowa October 26th after work to check it out... if anyone wants to join me your more then welcome... weather pending ....
