JL Rubicon Transfer Case Part Number

    1) Does anyone know the part number for a JL Rubicon transfer case, Rock Trac I assume? My JLU has an auto transmission, 3.6L engine. Pretty sure the Rubicon uses a New Venture NV241OR 2) When I searched car-part.com, I notice there are 3 brands of t-cases. Any differences among the 3? Not sure...

    Upper or Lower Control Arms

The primary cause of harsh ride is springs... Another common cause is too much air in the tires. Lots of the tires people choose for lifted jeeps are 8 or 10 ply rated and only need 25-32 psi to be safe and wear good. The stock Rubicon tires call for something like 45 PSI. Jeep does this for...

JL JOURNAL : EVO Tire Carrier Installation

It's plastic bushings pressed into the carrier with a steel sleeve pressed into them, and yes... it is the most annoying sound ever. People stop what they're doing and stare when I open my tailgate in a crowded parking lot.

JL JOURNAL : SYNERGY Heavy Duty Tie Rod / Drag Link / Stabilizer Relocation Install

I happened to be in Summit racing in Sparks & they had a Fox 2.0 steering stabilizer on the discount rack for $70, it was for an F-350 and a little longer than the one listed for the JL but I decided to give it a try anyway... Since I have the Synergy tie rod & stabilizer flip all i had to do...

    ARB Roller Drawer

I ended up getting different bags to store my tools, my large ARB recovery bags wouldn't fit in the new drawer. The main reason I wanted the drawer is so I could keep all of my gear I normally keep in these bags secure when the top is off. I like to keep this stuff with me for when someone...

    EVO JL Coilover Discussion Thread

Pretty sure unhooking and rerouting the e-brake cables is the least technical part of the job... Synergy lists the install of their reroute cable bracket as a 15 minute job, here is their explanation:

    Alternate fender clips

My drivers right front fender had been loose for a while so when I had it off to install my ARB & Wayalife ACM I decided to replace the broken clips. None of my local auto part stores had any Jeep (or Chrysler) clips that were even close to what the JL fenders use. I bought some GM Moulding...

WRITE-UP : WAYALIFE ACM - Jeep JL / JT Under the Hood ARB Air Compressor Mount

Got mine done today... Had a little setback troubleshooting why my compressor wouldn't run but it worked out in the end. Thanks for the great product and write up! I had to rewatch the EVO 1/4 Pounder video to see where you mounted the air chuck, I ended up making a bracket from some aluminum...

    ARB CKMA12 Air Compressor

Overlander, I owe you an apology... I got the compressor mounted and wired but it didn’t work. After some time troubleshooting I put a volt/Ohm meter directly to the compressor leads and it read as open... no resistance. I started calling you some choice names thinking you sold me a burnt out...

What was delivered to you, today? (Parts, tools, etc.)

Westin rear bumper $288 “open box” from amazon has a few small scratches but MSRP is $634 so I can deal with it for the savings. Used the saved money for some cheapo oreiley lights to fill the square holes.
