I ordered my JT in February. shortly thereafter Jeep shut down production. I was sure that I would have to wait to sometime in the distant future for delivery. It arrived just before April 1! So please excuse the delay (1 month) in my announcement. I am mechanically and technically declined . I am a six shooter kind of guy in a full auto world. But make no mistake, I am really excited to have the truck in my garage now rather than later. I will try to upload mods as I get them done.

Congrats, looks great Tom, can't wait for the upgrades to begin!

Thanks Partner. ;) I already have the winch and side steps. The bumper and skid plate are coming. After that there will be a slight pause as Susan and I keep it stock to keep the MPG lower for a cross country trip. After that...lift and tires are on the wish list.

Congrats Tom. Hope you and susan are doing well! Do you plan to lift it or keep it stock?

Yo Jason,
The original plan was to keep it close to stock, just a front bumper with winch, to keep the mpg's low for a cross country trip that was planned. Then lift it, put 37's on, and electric side step/rock rails when we got home. That plan got trashed with the stay-at-home orders. So now we have a second trip in the planning stages for Sept/Oct. I don't know if I can wait that long for the lift and 37's. And there's the chance that our omniscient politicians might lock down the country again around that time. :icon_crazy:

So, long story short, it will be lifted. Eventually. :thumb:

New Stuff

OK,
I got the bumper, winch, side rail steps, and license plate flip ( thank you Commiefornia ) all set for the September trip to North Dakota and back. Sometime after the trip I will be adding a lift and 37's, as well as a camper top. After that...who knows?

Is that the signature series bumper? Looks clean.

Yes it is. I got it without the bull bar because I didn't know if it would interfere with the trail camera. Also because it uses the fog lights that come with the plastic bumper. I originally wanted a Evo bumper but they didn't come out with one that used the lights until about two weeks after this one was installed. My timing sucks. :icon_crazy:

We had that LoD bumper on our JK. Functional and appealing.

Thanks Adam. There is still more to come. It won't be as capable as Nellie Belle my Black Mariah but then again, I'm not as capable as I was 13 years ago when I got my first Jeep. This will be a pleasant compromise. :yup:
