As much as Cindy and I have been dying to take JET Li, our brand new 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited off road, we've been trying our hardest to be disciplined and hold off long enough so that we can take photos and document whatever we could and all before getting him dirty. Well, even though we've still got more to do, we just couldn't hold out any longer and so yesterday, we broke down and took a short drive down to the end of the street. While we didn't do a whole lot, we did get him out on dirt, shifted into low range, sway bar disconnected, lockers engaged and even got him up on the rocks.

Anyway, here are a few pics of JET Li's first time off road, we hope you enjoy

Full stuff up front - pretty sure we can do this with bigger tires.

Decent amount of droop up front too.

Full stuff in the rear and with room to spare. If 35's can be run on factory wheels or new wheels with a lot of back spacing, I think you could do it with little to no lift.

Another shot of the rear tire stuffed up and into the fenders. The key to running 35's with little to no lift will be in the ability to keep the tires articulating up into the fenders.

Another shot of the nice droop we were seeing up front.

A lot more room up front to work with when it comes to stuff.

Rear droop is pretty nice as well.

Call us crazy but Cindy and I still LOVE the red dash :thumb:

Hope to get out and do some real testing soon and get it all on video. :)

Looks like 35’s can be run with no lift for sure! Do you think tho that they will run on the fenders at full lock tho? From pics I have seen it looks like they might

I really think Jet Li has found a nice home!
One of the best things about the JL is that it looks great and beefy, even in stock.
And it seems to be pretty capable without modifications, have fun and keep sharing your trips!

Looks great on the Rocks! Part of me wants to see how far & how long you can push the JL in stock form.... :yup:

That’s pretty impressive. I hope his first real wheeling trip is bone stock.

LOL!! We were doing some real wheeling out there. Could have done more if I were willing to scratch things up but I'm trying my hardest to keep things looking nice

I think it really depends on the wheels you run. So long as they're mounted on factory wheels or wheels with factory back spacing, the fronts look like they'll tuck up into the fenders pretty well. The rear is a bit more questionable.

That really is the one thing that we love most about the JL - they look built from the factory. :yup:

Really good flexing from the JL a lot better than the JK stock that’s for sure.

The flex on the JL stock really is impressive. If anything, we're kind of hearing a bit of clunking up front at a full flex like the coils are rubbing against the bump stop cups or the coils are unseating a bit. It doesn't sound like anything serious but we do want to track it down.

Looks fun. Nice pics.

Thanks, got more pics coming and of course, a video too.

That sucks but good it don’t sound serious. Definitely something I wouldn’t want to hear on a brand new jeep though lol [emoji15] Hoping it’s easy for you to track down and fix!

It's not the cheapest tool, but this little gadget is great for tracking down noises like that. The clamps are like microphones that you hook onto various parts, then you have an audio receiver inside the Jeep. When the noise is occurring, you switch channels until you hear it, and then match the channel number up with which transmitter is the same number.

eh, it's not that big of a deal. More me being critical than anything. We'll figure it out.

LOL! It's all good. I know what you meant :D

We're gonna try to mount a GoPro to get a better idea of what's going on. Hopefully we can track the clunking down with it.
