Now that Cindy and I have had JET Li, our brand new 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited home for a few days, we decided it might be a good idea to take another round of photos and to document what he looked like bone stock. We also took the time to get some shots under the hood while it's still super clean as wells as a few detail shots of this and that. Anyway here's a few you might enjoy seeing.

First up, here are a few shots from up front.

Shots looking at the rear end of the JL. It's interesting to note that the blemish on the hard top all but disappears in this angle.

I know there are a lot of folks who aren't happy with the indicator lights on the fenders but they're starting to have a way of growing on me :)

The new optional LED headlights are a HUGE bonus.

Jeep really got these new hood latches right!

Yet again, a nice Willys easter egg on the windshield.

The side vents on the JL are a nice touch.

Love that "Jeep" was put back on the side of the JL :thumb:

Of course, the JL Wrangler is a Trail Rated Jeep!

Gotta love how the door hinges tell you that you'll need a Torx T-50 to remove them.

We opted for the standard Rubicon wheels but think they look nice. Of course, the 33" BFG AT KO2's are awesome.

Love the Willys easter egg on them.

The LED tail lights do take a little getting used to but they are starting to grow on us as well. The new fuel door is a nice touch too.

To help give you a better look at things like the LED lights on the JL Wrangler and without losing perspective of things the way they would at night, we brought our JL into the stable to show you what they look like. First up, here are a few shots of what they look like up front.

And, here are a few shots from the rear of our JL.

A few people asked and so I thought I would show what the 3rd brake light looks like from behind. As you can see, it is designed to be adjustable so that it can still be used with a larger spare mounted on the tailgate.

Every time you post pictures of this thing, I can feel my feet and wallet trying to drive me to the dealer like some kind of VooDoo spell. Must resist....

Great pics as always. Want mine now more than ever [emoji4]

I feel your pain

Your detailed pics are always top notch man.... Have you felt any difference with the F.A.D. ? Is it smooth when engaged?

I can't say that I noticed any difference but then, I don't know if I was trying to hear or feel for it. I will try it again and give it more thought. I have noticed that shifting into 4HI did take a bit more effort than I've been used to but then, it could just be a "new" thing.

Damn I want one bad! But still interested in the JT as well. It’s gonna be hard to stay away. lol

LOL!! Decisions decisions.

Thanks for sharing. Are you guys finding excuses to run to the store just to take Jet for a ride.

More importantly, how hard is it to resist the hills in your backyard. [emoji6]

That dude from Mississippi
I like the body colored, rear gate hinges.

I know you are about to put him on the rack, so I have a question. With the 8 speed automatic, is the rear drive shaft shorter, than on a JK? I wonder, if it is, if it will come into play when adding lift. Would the angle become severe enough to cause problems with the stock shaft?

I'll have to measure but I believe the drive shafts are LONGER. If they are, that would help to reduce problems associated with a lift.

No lie, the back up cam is AWESOME!! Super clear and love the guides :thumb:

We use the camera on our 16 Impala all the time with a big screen and clear picture. I had the feature turned on for my 430nav in my 13, but I need a better camera. I use it, but not as much. Bigger screen, and good camera are an awesome feature.

And on the JL, you can turn it on when you want.
