Safety Recall for PCM

Just heard there is a safety recall for 18 JK and JLs for PCM...looks like a replacement PCM for the affected vehicles.

PS; NHTSA campaign number: 18V524. Chrysler's own number for this recall is U87.

Not sure what’s going on here. There’s a Consumer Reports article:

From a month ago that lists a whole bunch of FCA models affected by this bug, including the Wrangler but it doesn’t distinguish between JKs and JLs. On the other hand, the NHTSA side for that recall:

mentions only the Renegade. When I entered my JL’s VIN on NHTSA’s site it said no recalls outstanding.

I saw Recall article for PCMs too. That article listed all 2018 Wranglers made between January and July 2018. I'm assuming it's the JL model and that it will take a bit for them to get the recall notice into the system.

MDH (Month/Day/Hour) 083006 through 062709



You can reference your MDH on the the driver side door jamb (silver tag).
