Speedo problems

So Jeep is completely stock, yesterday this happened. Cruise set at 60, digital speed says 60, speedometer says 65. Come to a stop and speedometer says 5 mph.

Ok that's weird. When u shut it off then restarted it did it rezero itself?

That's for sure an interesting problem. Haven't seen that before with any vehicle. Almost looks like somehow the speedo needle got knocked out of whack somehow :thinking:

Dealer told me the speedometer was just an approximation of the speed and could be 1-3 mph off the digital speed.

I noticed the same thing with the loaner JLU that I was driving while waiting for mine to be delivered. Needle speedometer did not match the electronic displayed mph, or the GPS (WAZE) reading either. Sometimes it matched, sometimes it didn't. Very strange indeed.

So when you get a ticket you can tell the cop you were following the digital speed reading ......
