wiring advice?

I'm about to try to mount my ARB compressor under the rear seat. (Yeah, I know it will make it impossible to fold the seat down. It's unlikely that I'll ever really want to do that but if it ever happens, my plan is to make it possible to remove the compressor with just a couple of bolts and connectors.) What I'm not clear about is how to run the wires to it from the battery. There must be a hole in the firewall somewhere, is it possible to get access to it? Or can I run the wires underneath by the frame rails and back up inside somehow? Any other ideas?

If it’s an Auto, just to the left(from the inside) of the break peddle, there is a hole in the firewall.

I ran mine from the front, through the frame rail. But mine is mounted in the little cubby. That’s where my wire runs up through. I’m sure there is a drain hole somewhere close you could run it up.

This ^^^ It's basically the port where the clutch pedal linkage would come through if you had a manual.

Is this the thing you're talking about? What's the procedure for removing the plug?

Take a small screwdriver or ice pick and poke a hole in it. Or cut a small slit with a knife.

Yes. That’s the one. Day star makes a boot that you can put up in the hole and pass things through. You can trim it to the diameter you want so you can zip tie it back up and seal it. We include one with our Central Commands
