Removed rear bumper

Thank you Eddie for the pics in the plate relocation write up.

I really liked the looks of Eddies after the bumper removal and also knew I would do some bumper damage out here, so I decided to remove it and move the plate, and 7/4 way plug.

I drilled and installed the trailer plug bracket on the backside of the crossmember. The bracket is thick metal and I have some foil backed insulation mounted on it for heat rejection from the muffler, even though it’s probably not needed. If anything the wires are now out of the way of the heat.

I also left the little side brackets to use as mounts for some backup lights. I also retained the tag light with a small bracket I had removed from other build leftover parts. No write up but some pics. I just need EVO to make their rear frame cover and D-ring mounts.

I just need a heat gun to reshape the fender liner so there isn’t any rubbing.

Outstanding!! I like what you did with the plug too. I might have to do the same. Great job and thanks for posting up the pics :thumb:

Thanks Eddie! I drilled out the slot on the plug mount to the size of the hitch mount bolt. It fits just perfect. Let me know if you need more pictures. I didn’t widen the entire slot, only the bolt size. It’s only held by one bolt but it’s never going anywhere. It will become obvious when you remove it what to do. :thumb:

Yeah, if you wouldn't mind posting up some pics of what you did, that would be great. :thumb:

Here are a couple more. I drilled the bolt size out and painted it. You can kind of see the slot wasn’t big enough. It holds it really well. It’s definitely out of the way now.

Sorry for the bad pics. Couple are blurry.
